I offer you these 3 original sheets depicting one of the sketches from the comic book "FREUDAINES" by LUCQUES, published in 1978. Luc Nisset-Raidon, known as Lucques, was born on. He is a French comic book author and illustrator. Illustrating for LUI from 1969, Lucques entered the world of comic books in 1970 by collaborating with Pilote.

In 1974, he participated in the creation of Mormoil. Throughout the following decade, he regularly appeared in L'Écho des savanes, Fluide glacial, and then Charlie mensuel. From 1978 to 1983, several of his comic strips were published in albums. Many of his illustrations and stories belong to the erotic genre. In 1985, he moved to the Caribbean (Haiti and then the Dominican Republic) and stopped working for French comic books.

In 1989, he settled in Miami, where he dedicated himself to illustrating and writing didactic books on French and Spanish. The 3 sheets I offer you are of course original and unique: they were created in 1977 or 1978 live in front of a group of fellow cartoonists and comic book professionals, just for fun!

One of them had the good idea to retrieve the 3 sheets and keep them until today. Lucques evidently used markers and paint for this triptych, which is the first sheet of the comic book "Freudaines", published in 1978 by Éditions du Cygne. The only difference is the inversion of the characters' positions and the color. The drawings and coloring are perfectly executed, which is even more impressive when you consider the conditions under which they were created! This is therefore a rare and unique testimony of a cartoonist who left his mark on his time with his comico-erotic comics, as well as his sharp and caustic humor. The 3 sheets were originally glued together. The first one is now detached. The set is in very good condition, with some defects, some of which are original. Please look closely at the attached photos! I also include, for information, a photo of the "Freudaines" album and an original preliminary layout of this comic book, composed of collages and handwritten notes from Lucques, which was never selected or published. Dimensions of each sheet: approximately 75 x 89 cm. Happy bidding and check out my other listings!
