Very Beautiful Original Plate 1978 Pierre De Winninger The Forgotten Pyramid Drawing

  

This is the original plate number 1 of B. The Forgotten Pyramid, published in issue five of Circus. This page does not appear in the original comic book; the last panel has been detached, revealing an earlier panel that was never published.

These two panels must be reattached to the page. The title in the upper left is missing, but the name Winninger appears.

Pierre Winninger, born in 1950, began working in comics in 1976. He published in Charlie Hebdo and Circus (“Victor Billetdoux”). In 1979, he created “Le Jardin Sanglant” from a script by Henri Filippini for Pilote, later published as an album by Dargaud. He then created “Nicéphore Vaucanson” for Okapi.

Starting in 1987, Winninger, who is also a children’s illustrator, devoted himself to adapting numerous novels for Je Bouquine. He illustrated novels by Oscar Wilde, Conan Doyle, Calvino, Carroll, Balzac, Faulkner, Shelley, Stevenson, Saint-Exupéry, Du Maurier, Charlotte Brontë, and others.
