Greg (and Mitteï) History First Board Of The Series Les As (1963)

Exceptional first board of the series aces, published in the valiant paper n ° 972 of December 29, 1963 and remained unpublished in album, with spectacular Parisian decor in the first big box. Realization in black ink on paper, by greg (script and characters) and mitteï (decorations). High historical value coin that marks the entrance of greg into valiant, the famous ancestor of pif-gadget. Contemporary board of the first pages of achille heel in pilot and guarantee of the hand of greg (who will soon leave these characters to his studio, formed at the time and notably of brouyère, mazel, dupa, dany and vicq).

Probably spared for a time by the light, the paper is slightly yellowed and the ink remained very black (the differences of blacks in the photos come from flashes of flash). On the other hand, some light stains and folds, observable at the bottom of the first half-plank betray an exposure to moisture while many small pinhole or pin holes strew the edges of the board without touching the drawing. Note that these defects are amplified on the scans .. high price for a board of this series but justified by its historical and artistic value. A unique opportunity to acquire an important board of a great master of the comic.
