Nestor the Penguin is a puppet used by ventriloquist and television host David Michel (born in Paris on September 21, 1945). Nestor the Penguin appeared on television in the 1960s, accompanied by a young bearded man wearing a top hat, David Michel.

After numerous television appearances, more than 800 by the mid-1970s, the young duo quickly became the mascot of Guy Lux’s shows. The little plush character was later adapted into many merchandise items, records such as Nestor Le Pingouin, T'as Pas De Chocolat, 33 T, Philips, 1976, comic books (The Adventures of Nestor the Penguin), and more.
