Painter, poster designer (created magnificent posters for the Republicans during the Spanish Civil War), lithographer, and book illustrator. He sought refuge in France in 1939. Between 1939 and 1943, he worked for the SAGE publishing house with his friends Carles Fontseré and Antoni Clavé. He created several comics there, including "Les Exploits de Gavroche," sometimes under the pseudonym MAT, but mostly unsigned.

The artwork titled "Les Fils du Capitaine Rosa" is a China ink drawing. It was published in the weekly magazine "Les Grandes Aventures" (stamp on the back) in 1942. The first pages of this story were drawn by Antoni Clavé, and this particular piece was drawn by Marti Bas, likely based on Clavé's instructions.

The size of the artwork is 57 x 42 cm, but the first image (the title) is missing. It can be picked up in person in Paris 9th arrondissement.
