Both a virtuoso and an innovator! He is the illustrator of the famous comic strip "Les Pionniers de l'Espérance," published in the weekly Vaillant. He also drew "Guy Lebleu" for the weekly Pilote. His comic "MIX 315" (drawn in 1965) greatly influenced Moebius.

Original artwork by Raymond Poïvet for the comic "IL Y A 50 000 ANS," written by Roger Lécureux. This story was published in the weekly VAILLANT from issue #500 on December 12, 1954, to issue #519 on April 24, 1955.
