ORIGINAL DRAWING + COLOR PLATE WESTERN COWBOY. ORIGINAL drawing of a cowboy with color plates by ROL. Roland Venet, known as Rol, was a French press artist who created numerous comic strips and game pages for the French print press from the 1940s to the 1960s.

He drew short-lived series such as “Mich et Mouche - The Light Butterfly” (1957) and “Dany” (1958) for the magazine Line, for which he later created the eponymous series. With René Goscinny as writer, Rol also drew two humorous comic strips: “Oscar Baudruche Mène L'Enquête” (1957) and “Wa-Pi-Ti, Child Sculptor” (1957). Later, he worked as a colorist for the publishing house Dargaud.
