Note that two panels are missing from the plate. Pierre Wininger, born in 1950, began his career in comic books in 1976. He published in Charlie Hebdo and Circus ("Victor Billetdoux").
In 1979, he created "The Bloody Garden" based on a script by Henri Filippini for Pilote, later published as an album by Dargaud. He then created "Nicéphore Vaucanson" for Okapi. From 1987 onward, Wininger, who is also a children's illustrator, dedicated himself to adapting many novels for "Je Bouquine." He illustrated novels by Oscar Wilde, Conan Doyle, Calvino, Carroll, Balzac, Faulkner, Shelley, Stevenson, Saint-Exupéry, Du Maurier, Charlotte Brontë, etc.
