Note that two panels are missing from the plate. Pierre Wininger, born in 1950, started in comics in 1976. He published in Charlie Hebdo and Circus ("Victor Billetdoux"). In 1979, he created "The Bloody Garden" based on a script by Henri Filippini for Pilote, then in an album with Dargaud. He then created "Nicéphore Vaucanson" for Okapi.
Starting in 1987, Wininger, who is also a children's illustrator, dedicated himself to adapting numerous novels for "Je Bouquine." He illustrated novels by Oscar Wilde, Conan Doyle, Calvino, Carroll, Balzac, Faulkner, Shelley, Stevenson, Saint-Exupéry, Du Maurier, Charlotte Brontë, etc.
