In 1979, he created "The Bloody Garden" based on a script by Henri Filippini for Pilote, and then as an album with Dargaud. He then illustrated "Nicéphore Vaucanson" for Okapi. From 1987 onwards, Wininger, who is also a children's illustrator, focused on adapting numerous novels for "Je Bouquine.
