Sheet with many drawings, done in pen and ink, depicting the basketball players of SIG in Strasbourg. An interesting work, as he was little drawn to the world of sports and associations. (He was a discreet person, withdrawn at home and not very communicative.) Featured in the book on page 196.

He left Lycée Kléber to enter, at the age of 16, the Strasbourg School of Decorative Arts, where he studied until 1930. At this school, his teachers included Emile SCHNEIDER, SCHULTZ, KAMM, and CAMMISSAR. He completed his studies with highest honors and received the City of Strasbourg Prize.

On August 27, he married Marie Eugénie DISS, known as “Maria,” and that same year he established his studio. He further refined his skills at the Académie JULIAN in Paris with professors UNTERSTELLER and SOUVERBIE. He was a drawing and art teacher at the National School of Engineering in Strasbourg (ENIS).
