Indian ink on paper
Editions / Publisher.

Very protective packaging with lots of sturdy cardboard...

The images are used to show, or give an idea of, the item for sale: in some cases, such as a portfolio containing many plates, we cannot always scan and show the entire content, just as no one shows every page of a book. It may happen that we only show a few plates and/or interior drawings, and we do our utmost to make this representative of the work offered. Some photos are not always optimal in terms of rendering or colors, especially for large-format posters. Please do not hesitate to point out any errors you may find in our listings!

Different shipping methods can be considered and used:
- Shipping via Mondial Relay for France and for European countries served by Mondial Relay, to an open and reliable pickup point (address provided by the buyer);
- Shipping via Shop2shop by Chronopost for France, to an open and reliable pickup point (address provided by the buyer);
- Shipping via Chronopost, UPS? Internationally or within France depending on conditions, if specifically requested by the customer and if possible: these carriers are not offered as free delivery except in special cases (included in a selling price that justifies it);
- Shipping via Mondial Relay to the home internationally is possible for countries where this service is offered, depending on conditions and if specifically requested by the customer and if possible: this service is not offered as free delivery except in special cases (included in a selling price that justifies it).

The description of the items for sale is done as objectively as possible:
- we make sure to browse through and check the inside of books, deluxe editions, and works for sale;
- we check the covers;
- we verify the contents of portfolios, especially the number of plates.

Of course, it may happen that a detail escapes us or that an in-person customer has unintentionally changed the condition of an item between the time an ad is posted and the time of sale: we check the item’s condition again when it is shipped, and if anything different should appear, we do our utmost to inform you before shipping. If there is no reaction or reply, we will consider that the item may be shipped.

Whenever possible, we try to offer collector’s gifts related to the authors and/or items sold: this is sometimes mentioned in the listing description of an item, but always subject to the usual phrase “while supplies last.” Please do not hold it against us if the gift or gifts are exceptionally not included with the order, whether because those famous stocks are limited or for any other reason.

In that case, a solution can be found to make up for the omission, for example in the context of a later order.

We take care and time to make very sturdy packages with lots of strong cardboard for books, portfolios, etc., in order to avoid the contents being damaged or the corners of the items sent being marked, and as discreetly as possible so as not to attract attention to the contents. Our packages are discreet, making them as “anonymous” as possible so as not to draw attention to what is inside. The packages are sufficiently reinforced, rigid, and protective to avoid having to specify anything on the package regarding handling (“do not bend,” for example).

Our packages are very protective for the contents and “armored,” to use a figurative term: it takes more time, but it allows the buyer to be reassured as much as possible.

The packages are made with strong cardboard and are larger than the formats of the books shipped, in order to avoid corners/edges or sides being marked during transport. We have observed that transport bags are thrown from the tops of trucks onto sidewalks, and we protect our items by taking these “transport techniques” into account.

Posters and images are most often, depending on the format, shipped in a strong cardboard tube (notably Tubeca® until our stock runs out); the tubes themselves are protected with cardboard wrapped around them to reinforce protection. This takes more time, but we make sure to take that time in order to offer maximum security for the orders we ship.

We take care not to roll images too tightly so as not to mark them, and to protect them in the tube or equivalent with padding at the ends, in particular, to be certain that the image or print remains secure and cannot be marked on the sides. Smaller formats can be shipped flat between several layers of strong cardboard if the format allows it and if that proves more suitable.

We work with clean hands, disinfected several times with hydroalcoholic gel during the different stages of packing the goods to be shipped.

It is up to the recipient to refuse any package that may have been damaged during transport and to make the usual reservations or claims with the carrier at the time of delivery.

We make sure to check the items for sale: to browse through books, count and verify the contents and plates of portfolios, and describe them as objectively and accurately as possible.

All packages received are considered accepted “as is” by the recipient: no returns, no claims will be accepted by the seller in any case, except by prior agreement. If the slightest problem arises, it is always better to discuss it first and see together whether a solution can be found before initiating any dispute: depending on the time of year or the day of the week, there may exceptionally be a slight delay before we can reply.

The addresses registered by buyers are used to automatically fill in shipping labels on the carriers’ platforms, whether on Mondial Relay or Packlink.

Obviously, if the error is our fault, we will take responsibility and reship the order at our expense.

In the very specific case of a major event, including a pandemic, we cannot be held responsible if the chosen carrier decides to stop operating for an unforeseen period: we will make every effort to adapt to the situation and to implement everything possible to find an identical replacement solution. If that proves impossible, both parties, buyer and seller, will try to agree together on a replacement transport/delivery solution.

The seller will not bear the additional cost of a more expensive express transport/delivery solution in place of a free delivery, or of the one specified in the item’s sales description, but will be open to compensating for a more expensive replacement delivery solution with customary goodwill gestures, such as collector’s gifts.

Thank you for your interest in our listings.
